Sepia chest up signed on back Levi Bunnell, Lamoille Bureau Co.  Gallery N. Olsen, New Orleans.  This is a CDV (carte de viste, visiting card) of Pvt. Levi Bunnell from Lamoille, IL. He mustered into Co. E of the 33rd Illinois Infantry on September 2, 1861. Re-enlisting as a veteran, Levi stayed with the unit full term until mustering out on Nov. 24, 1865.  The photographer was N. Olsen of New Orleans, LA whose pen and ink cancelled the 2-cent stamp. The value of the stamp indicates a cost of the CDV to be 25 cents or less which was required to help fund the war 1864-1866. Olsen also used a cancelled stamp with a date of "Jan 1, 1865." This is the exact date that Levi Bunnell proudly posed for his likeness in New Orleans.  Note: The name is Levi BUNNELL (not BONNELL) in the Adjutant General's Report. - $100 Also 53  C45
